Swallowing difficulties, also known as dysphagia, can hugely impact on quality of life and we believe it isn't something that needs to be suffered alone. We specialise in adult dysphagia with a particular interest in progressive neurological conditions like Dementia and Parkinson's Disease. We also specialise in swallowing/dysphagia rehabilitation for Stroke and Head and Neck cancer. Additionally we offer assessment and rehabilitation for people with facial palsy. It is our goal here at Swallow & Speech Therapy Consultants Ltd to help you reach your swallowing goals at any stage of life or your condition by providing quality assessment, therapy/management, and education/training.

Swallow & Speech Therapy Consultants Ltd strives to breakdown communication barriers with the aim to increase hope and confidence and reduce frustration and disappointment. Some of the communication difficulties we can assist with, but are not limited to, are aphasia and apraxia of speech (usually acquired after a stroke), dysarthria (usually secondary to a neurological condition, post head and neck surgery, or general ageing), and cognitive communication difficulties (typically acquired following a traumatic brain injury). We also have a special interest in supporting people with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)
